Privacy Policy

Emet is built for discipleship, not data mining. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@emetfaith.com.

Who we are

Emet provides Scripture-centered Bible study, journaling, discipleship tools, fellowship features, and related services through emetfaith.com and associated applications.

When this policy says "we," "us," or "Emet," it refers to the team operating the Emet platform.

Information we collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile details you choose to provide.

Content you create: Journals, prayers, reading plan progress, notes, highlights, messages, and other material you save in the workspace.

Usage and device data: Pages visited, feature interactions, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostic logs that help us keep the service reliable.

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We receive subscription status and billing metadata, not full card numbers.

Communications: Messages you send to support and feedback you submit through the product.

How we use information

We use your information to operate and improve Emet, authenticate you, sync your workspace, deliver features you request, and respond to support requests.

We use aggregated analytics to understand which parts of the product help people grow and where we should invest engineering effort.

We may send service-related email such as sign-in links, security alerts, and important product updates. You can opt out of non-essential marketing email where offered.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI features

Some Emet features use AI to help you study Scripture, reflect, or draft content. When you use those features, relevant prompts and context you provide may be sent to our AI providers to generate a response.

AI output is assistive, not authoritative. Do not treat generated text as Scripture or pastoral counsel. See our product FAQ for more on how Emet AI is designed.

We work with providers under contractual terms that limit use of your data for model training where those terms are available.

Sharing and disclosure

We share information with infrastructure and service providers who help us host, secure, analyze, email, and process payments. They may use data only to perform services for us.

Content you publish publicly, such as a shared journal entry or public ministry page, is visible to people who can access that URL.

Fellowship features may show your name, avatar, and activity to friends or ministry communities according to the visibility settings you choose.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to defend our legal rights.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active so you can return to your studies and journals.

You can delete individual content in the product where those controls exist. You can also request account deletion from account settings. Deletion removes personal workspace data according to our account deletion process.

Some records, such as billing receipts or security logs, may be retained for a limited period where we have a legal or operational need.

Security

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted transport, access controls, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work continuously to protect your account.

Use a strong password and keep your sign-in method secure. Contact us promptly if you believe your account was accessed without permission.

Children

Emet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@emetfaith.com and we will take appropriate steps.

International users

Emet is operated from the United States. If you access the service from other regions, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

Your choices

You can update profile information in account settings, adjust notification preferences where available, and control the visibility of content you publish.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Email support@emetfaith.com to exercise those rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
